Olivia and Peter's Marina Village Sunset Room Wedding
I met Olivia and Peter just a few weeks before their wedding. which is a unique situation, because we all know how much time and effort I put into planning a wedding. I learned that the original San Diego Wedding DJ they booked quit on them last minute and they needed to find someone they could trust. They found me through my wedding blogs on my website www.djtonykings.com when searching through google. They reviewed my website, my reviews, and immediately contacted me. Because of our short time frame, we did our first meeting via Facetime so we could get right to business. There was instant connection between us, and I got booked on the spot.
To future brides, it’s important that you make sure you are booking a responsible and professional wedding DJ. After a year of planning your big day, the last thing you want is to have to find a new DJ , or even any other vendor, last minute. Luckily, our couple found me, and I was available and up for the challenge!
Olivia and Peter’s wedding was at one of my favorite venues, the beautiful Marina Village Conference Center. I’ve always appreciated the outdoor ceremonies overlooking the gorgeous boats on the bay; and this wedding was no different.
For Olivia and Peter’s ceremony, the couple had asked their friends to play live music. I was there to provide the wireless microphones so everyone could hear. It was really touching to see their family and friends supporting them.
Their cocktail hour and reception were at the Sunset Room. I provided music for our guest as they arrived to grab their drinks while our bride and groom went off for portraits with their photographer, Tsukasa.
When Olivia and Peter were done with their portraits, I introduced them back to their families as California’s newest wedding couple. I kept the music upbeat and had everyone on their feet showing their love and support. Immediately after, I asked Peter to take his wife Olivia out on to the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife.
We followed with dinner after our couple’s first dance. We had a Hawaiian-style buffet. I was very grateful to get to enjoy a plate myself before I prepared our toasters for their speech. We started our speech with the most adorable little speaker ever. The best man, maid of honor, and Olivia’s dad followed.
With the formalities all done, I proceeded to get everyone on to the dancefloor. I love seeing all generations out on the dance floor. There’s no bigger rush than celebrating two families coming together, getting them loose, and seeing them get down!
After the last song of the night, I made sure to instruct our guest to give Olivia and Peter a big family hug. I then asked everyone to go outside to prepare a sparkler send off for Olivia and Peter.
Olivia and Peter’s wedding went amazing and you could tell how happy they were that it was a success. Olivia even took the time to write me an amazing review on The Knot.
A big shoutout to their friend and photographer, Tsukasa.
