Roxanne and Scott's Bali Hai Restaurant Wedding
It was obvious to everyone, including Roxanne and Scott, that they would spend their lives together. Life’s passions had lead them in opposite direction but their love would always bring them back together. Today they come together with beautiful musical vibes and Hawaiian colors and decorations to celebrate their unity. To celebrate from here on out they will always be together.
After the ceremony, our photographer Melissa from Melissa Montoya Photography took family photos with the couple. I entertained the rest of the guest with some great music while simultaneously making sure the timeline was still on track with the venue.
After cocktail hour, I introduced our bridal party and our couple went straight into their first dance.
After the first dance, our guest had a very special treat. We had Melissa and her Polynesian team at Hoókupu– O – Hawaii give us a history lesson of Polynesian culture through story and dance. Towards the end, they brought all the ladies up, along with the bride, and taught them how to Hula Dance. Hips were shaking.
After, they brought all the men up to teach them how to do the Haka. The room exploded with a fierce chant as they stuck their tongues out and stamped their feet shouting out loud “Ka Mate Ka Mate”.
The rest of the night went to drinking, singing, partying, and dancing. This couple is a sweet reminder that soulmates can exist. Sometimes you find someone with a connection so strong that the universe draws you in together.
Thank you guys for letting host and DJ your event. A big shoutout to Melissa at Melissa Montoya Photography (www.melissamontoyaphotography.com) and our Polynesian friends at Hookupu-O-Hawaii.
